Have you ever tried mindfulness?

Maybe you have seen mindfulness in the news recently, heard a friend or relative talking about it, or have read about it in one of many self-help books. You might be wondering what all the fuss is about, wondering if it can help you, or maybe just looking for a little relief in a busy and sometimes difficult life. We are extending an invitation to you to discover mindfulness for yourself in a comfortable, friendly and discreet atmosphere under the guidance of an experienced practitioner and trained teacher.

Mindfulness meditation techniques have been around for thousands of years, and are still very much alive today. The power of these relatively simple practices is beginning to be appreciated by science and psychology, and courses such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) have proven effective at reducing peoples suffering from everything from stress to chronic pain to anxiety and depression. Mindfulness can not only be helpful as a treatment for such conditions, but it can also be used to calm the mind, increase your ability to concentrate and focus, and to help you to excel at sport, academic study... or even the crossword!

Our aim at discovering mindfulness is to make mindfulness courses and activities accessible to people in the south west of England by offering regular 8-week introductory courses based on MBSR/MBCT, and follow-on group activities to support continued practice. We also aim to widen access to mindfulness training by continuing to deliver the Mindfulness in Schools Project's .b course to young learners, and by offering training courses to business clients aimed at improving the wellbeing and productivity of their employees.         07790 733 786
